My dead friend Zoe is a dark comedy drama that follows the journey of merit (Sonequa Martin-Green), a veteran of Afghanistan of the American army who disagrees with his family thanks to the presence of Zoe (Natalie Morales ), his best dead friend of the army. Despite the persistence of his VA group advisor (Morgan Freeman), his mother’s difficult love (Gloria Reuben) and the lightness of an unexpected love interest, the comfortable friendship of Merit with Zoé keeps the isolated duo of the world. It is until the separate grandfather of Merit (Ed Harris) – locked up at the House of the ancestral lake of the family – begins to lose his way and needs the only thing he refuses … Help. Basically, it is a friend of a friend on a complicated friendship, a divided family and the complex ways of which we treat sorrow.
